İngilizce'de PRESENT PERFECT TENSE 'in kullanımı ve örnek cümleler

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

FORM Present Perfect
[HAS / HAVE] + [past participle]

Türkçe'de böyle bir zaman olmadığı için İngilizce öğrenen Türklerin en çok zorlandıkları zaman Present Perfect Tense'dir. Kuralları hemen öğrenilse de kullanımını iyice özümsemek için bir süre geçmesi gereklidir.

EXAMPLES:

I have seen that movie many times. (Bu filmi birçok kez seyrettim.)

I have never seen that movie. (Bu filmi hiç seyretmedim.)

● USE 1 Unspecified Time Before Now

We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important.

(Present Perfect Tense geçmişte belirsiz bir zamanda yapılmış bir eylemi anlatmak için kullanılır. Eylemin ne zaman yapıldığı veya olduğu önemli değildir.)

EXAMPLES:

I have seen that movie twenty times. (Bu filmi yirmi kez seyrettim.)

I think I have met him once before. (Sanırım onunla daha önce tanıştım.)

There have been many earthquakes in California. (Kaliforniye'da bir çok deprem oldu.)

Has there ever been a war in the United States? (Amerika'da hiç savaş oldu mu?)
Yes

there has been a war in the United States. (Evet

Amerika'da bir savaş oldu.)

People have traveled to the moon. (İnsanlar aya seyahat etti.)

DİKKAT! Geçmişte belirsiz bir zaman tanımı İngilizce öğrenenler için biraz kafa karıştırıcı olabilir. Bu yüzden aşağıda biraz daha detaylı açıklamalar verilmiştir.

1 Experience (Tecrübe)

You can use the Present Perfect to describe your experience.

(Present Perfect Tense hayatınızda geçirmiş olduğunuz tecrübeleri anlatmak için kullanılır. Tecrübelerden bahsederken zamanın bir önemi yoktur.)

EXAMPLES:

I have been to France. (Fransa'da bulundum.)

(Bu cümlede anlatılmak istenen asıl şey Fransa'da bulunduğunuzdur. Ne zaman gittiğiniz önemli değildir.)

I have never been to France. (Fransa'da hiç bulunmadım.)

(Bu cümlede hiç Fransa'ya gitme tecrübenizin olmadığı anlatılmaktadır.)

I think I have seen that movie before. (Sanırım bu filmi daha önce gördüm.)

He has never traveled by train. (O trenle hiç seyahat etmedi.)

Joan has studied two foreign languages. (Joan iki dile çalıştı.)

Have you ever met him? (Onunle hiç karşılaştın mı?)

I have not met him. (Hayır

2 Change Over Time (Zamanla değişim)

We often use the Present Perfect to talk about change that has happened over a period of time.

(Present Perfect Tense bir süre içinde meydana gelen değişiklikleri anlatmak için kullanılır.)

EXAMPLES:

You have grown since the last time I saw you. (Seni son gördüğümden beri büyümüşsün.)

The government has become more interested in arts education. (Hükümet sanat eğitimiyle daha fazla ilgilenmeye başladı.)

Japanese has become one of the most popular courses at the university. (Japonca üniversitede en populer derslerden biri haline geldi.)

My English has really improved since I moved to Australia. (Avusturalya'ya taşındığımdan beri İngilize gerçekten gelişti.)

3 Accomplishments (Başarılardan bahsederken)

We often use the Present Perfect to list the accomplishments of individuals and humanity. You cannot mention a specific time.

(Bu zamanı ayrıca kişisel veya insanlığın kazanmış olduğu başarıları anlatmak için kullanırız. Böyle durumlarda belirli bir zaman veremeyiz.)

EXAMPLES:

Man has walked on the moon. (İnsan ayda yürüdü.)

Our son has learned how to read. (Oğlumuz okumayı öğrendi.)

Doctors have cured many deadly diseases. (Doktorlar birçok ölümcül hastalığı tedavi ettiler.)

Scientists have split the atom. (Bilimadamları atomu parçaladılar.)

4 An Uncompleted Action You Are Expecting (Tamamlanması beklenen eylem)

We often use the Present Perfect to say that an action which we expected has not happened. Using the Present Perfect suggests that we are still waiting for the action.

(Present Perfect Tense'i gerçekleşmesini beklediğimiz bir eylemin henüz olmadığını anlatmak için kullanırız. Bu zamanı kullanmamız bizim hala bu eylemin gerçekleşmesini beklediğimiz anlamına gelir.)

EXAMPLES:

James has not finished his homework yet. (James henüz ödevini bitirmedi.)

Susan hasn't mastered Japanese

but she can communicate. (Susan Japonca'da henüz uzmanlaşmadı

Bill has still not arrived. (Bill hala gelmedi.)

The rain hasn't stopped. (Yağmur durmadı.)

TOPIC 5 Multiple Actions at Different Times (Farklı zamanlarda çoklu eylemler)

We also use the Present Perfect to talk about several different actions which occured in the past at different times. Present Perfect suggests the process is not complete and more actions are possible.

EXAMPLES:

The army has attacked that city five times. (Ordu şehire beş kere saldırdı.)

I have had four quizes this semester. (Bu dönem dört tane quiz oldum.)

We have had many major problems while working on this project. (Bu proje üzerinde çalışırken bir sürü büyük problemle karşılaştık.)

She has talked to several specialists about her problem

but nobody knows why she is sick.

● USE 2 Duration From Past Until Now
(Geçmişten bugüne kadar gelen süre)

We use the Present Perfect to show that something started in the past and has continued up until now. "For five minutes

" "for two weeks" and "since Tuesday" are all durations which can be used with the Present Perfect.

(Present Perfect Tense'i geçmişten başlayıp şu ana kadar devam eden şeyleri anlatmak için kullanırız. "Beş dakikadır"
